Svetvincenat is a village in the south of the central part of Istria, Croatia, 16 km north of Croatia-Istria-Vodnjan_1-1-21.htm" target="_self">Vodnjan; elevation 250 m. Svetvinčenat was first mentioned around AD 965. Economy is based on farming and livestock breeding. Svetvinčenat is located on the regional road Pazin - Vodnjan. The town is dominated by a large castle which has four round towers a living quarters.

Istria is the biggest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea. The peninsula is located at the head of the Adriatic between the Gulf of Trieste and the Croatia-Kvarner-Bay-_1-2.htm" target="_self">Bay of Kvarner. The region lies mostly in Istria county of western Croatia.
