The Croatia-Kvarner-Bay--Crikvenica---Kacjak_1-2-43.htm" target="_self">Kacjak peninsula is the favourite beach of tourists who spend their vacation in Dramalj and Crikvenica. Dramalj, a town in the Croatian Primorje, 3 km northeast of Crikvenica; elevation 80 m. Until 1953 it was called Sveta Jelena Dramalj. It is located on the local road Crikvenica - tourist village Kacjak; 1 km from the Adriatic main road (M2, E65).

The Kvarner Bay is situated in the northern Adriatic Sea, between the Istrian peninsula and the northern Croatian seacoast. The main islands within the Kvarner are Croatia-Island-Cres_1-10.htm" target="_self">Cres, Croatia-Island-Krk_1-6.htm" target="_self">Krk, Croatia-Island-Pag_1-9.htm" target="_self">Pag, Croatia-Island-Rab_1-8.htm" target="_self">Rab and Croatia-Island-Losinj_1-7.htm">Losinj. The main portion of the Kvarner bay is that between the mainland, Cres and Krk. A smaller body of water located between Cres, Krk, Rab and Pag is called Kvarneric (the little Kvarner). The bay is notable for its depth, which allows for the city of Rijeka at its northernmost point to have a sea port that can handle the largest ships (tankers and such).
