The island of Ugljan is situated between Croatia-Northern-Dalmatia--Zadar_1-5-77.htm">Zadar and Croatia-Island-Dugi-Otok_1-11.htm">Dugi Otok island and it have an excellent ferry connection (Zadar - Ugljan-Preko-_1-16-138.htm">Preko) every hour. In the southern side the island is connected by bridge to island Croatia-Island-Pasman_1-22.htm">Pasman and it isn?t so isolate as other islands of archipelago.Ugljan is good destination for tourists that intend to visit the Kornati by boat or who wants to take an tour and visit other places in the coast (Krka, Croatia-Island-Murter_1-34.htm">Murter, Zadar, Croatia-Northern-Dalmatia--Sibenik_1-5-73.htm">Sibenik...) during the holiday.Kukljica and tourist village "Zelena Punta" are the "most touristic" place in Ugljan island. Who wants something more "live", Zadar is not too far - on the other side of channel.The beach in Kukljica is mostly rocky beach and it is situated near tourist village and Kostanj bay. There are two beaches on the other side of island that people from Kukljica prefer because of their sandy bottom - Sabusa i Jelenica - they are 10-15 minutes of walking far away from Kukljica (Jelenica is nudist beach).
