Bozava  - is a small fishing village in the north-western part of the Dugi Otok Island.  It has two shops, Post office, Travel Office, Ambulance station, police office and four restaurants.  Next to the village is a pine wood were the major hotel facility is hidden.  Crystal clear water is awaiting you here with numerous cliffed beaches.  On the other side of the island you can find a well visited natural sand beach. Now, it is a small, calm port on the western cost of Dugi otok, situated close to the small Bozava field. In the past, even at the time of the Illyrian tribes two fortified settlements existed near the village (the remains of walls), as well as the remains of the Roman buildings at the same villages. According to some findings, it seems that the Slaves set up the first settlement at pinat location as early as the 9th century..Bozava was mentioned for the first time in written documents in 1327, under the name Bosana.
